Overdue Policy

Items that circulate for one day:

  •  Because these items are usually in high demand, they are due at 8:00 AM on their due dates and there is no grace period.

  • Fines are $1.00/day

Items that circulate for one week:

  •  No grace period is allotted for these items.

  • Overdue notices are issued approximately every two weeks.

  • Students are encouraged to discuss overdue items with the library staff as soon as they receive a notice.  This can often result in no fines being collected.

  • If the student takes no action, with the third notice, a detention is also issued.

  • Fines are $.10/day

Items that circulate for three weeks:

  •  A five day grace period allows students to return materials up to five days late without any fines.

  • Overdue notices are issued approximately every two weeks.

  • Students are encouraged to discuss overdue items with the library staff as soon as they receive a notice.  This can often result in no fines being collected.

  • If the student takes no action, with the third notice,  a detention is also issued.

  • Fines are $.10/day
