"One example is "Kim", a 16 year old Baltimore girl in foster care whose new boyfriend promised to marry her if she'd come live with him. After agreeing, she was brought to a motel, gang-raped and then placed in a prostitution circuit servicing truck stops along I-95. She was kept with four other girls whose every move was controlled. If the girls would try to escape, they were savagely beaten or worse."
"Another example is "Lisa," a 19 year old who was told that if she came to America, she could work as nanny for a rich family in Maryland and go to school at night. When she arrived however, she found herself a virtual slave in a wealthy couple's home in suburban Maryland. She was forced to do all the cooking, cleaning and childcare. Her owners took her passport, isolated her from outsiders, slapped and kicked her if she disobeyed them, and threatened to kill her family back home if she tried to escape."
