Refer to the following statements of a contemporary religious community to see a model of what action for justice

based on Gospel Values looks like...

Our Commitment

We are committed to use our influence
by taking corporate stands
for systemic change.

Our Actions for Justice

   Our broken world is searching
   for a prophetic word
which will help name its need
   for compassion, healing
   and transformation.

   Faced with situations of injustice,
   violence and exclusion,
   we seek the courage
in the Names of Jesus and Mary
to denounce in a nonviolent way
all that is contrary to basic human rights,
to the respect and dignity of the human person,
and to the harmony of creation.

Our Solidarities

Our SNJM Justice and Peace Network has the role of sharing information and encouraging action.

We are affiliated with two Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) :

Development and Peace and Franciscans International.

We are members of UNANIMA International, an organization created by twelve Women Religious Congregations

throughout the World.

An Invitation
to reflect on the following questions:

• How can I align my relationships in light of the interdependence of all creation?
• How can I give a message of hope to our world today?
• In unjust situations, how can my spirituality inspire me to perform liberating actions?
